The entire workshop was well structured & engaging. The activities were insightful and very much aligned to the defined objectives and expected outcomes. Mr. Jitendra & his team created an inclusive environment by actively engaging with the team and encouraging participation. We could see the energy of the participants too at 08:30 PM where I saw each individual performing their activity. Considering the participants profile and the expected objectives, Facilitator came up with some engaging and interesting activities which helped the teams to Trust, Aligned and Collaborate.
One of my team member was on Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), | was successful in convincing my Manager to pull him out of PIP as we could utilize him In our pröject with mentoring and guidance. I achieved this using the 3 Vs.
The US Manager requested to move one of the Pune team members to the night shift, but I found a possible solution to manage the night shift in the evening shift. One of the Pune team members currently works in the 3:30 AM early morning shift to support a US task, so I suggested to the US Manager that they support the task instead. This allowed us to move the team members to the evening shift instead of the night shift and saved us from possible resistance. I was able to achieve this using assertive communication.
I was on a 11- day trek and I had zero contact with my team. When I was back, I am glad to say that there were no escalations. This was possible as I had applied the delegation and Situational Leadership concept at work.
I am able to communicate myself very clearly with my Manager as well as my Team. This has helped all of us come on the same page and has helped boost accuracy and timeliness, two important pillars in Processing. I garnered confidence through techniques we learnt around Communication skills in the DRIVE workshop.
One of my Senior team members was displaying a negative attitude at work. He was not open for feedback. He was creating a negative environment in the entire team. I slowly implemented the concepts learned one by one. I tried to understand from him why he is being defensive. I learnt, observation helps and you need not take action every time. After observing him for a while, I changed his objectives and started Weekly meetings with him. This has helped greatly in bringing down the resistance and now he agrees that he needs to be more open.
